Heeeeere's Jilly!

Hey....thanks for dropping in!  Good to have you here....I LOVE to have visitors!  I hope you will take some time to comment on my blog so that I can know you better.  In the meantime, here is a little about me....

I wear many  hats in my life.  I am a wife to my fantastic husband of nearly TWENTY!!  years!  Wow!  When did we grow up?  Did we grow up?  Well....he did....me, I am not so sure!  He is the love of my life and I am thankful for every second we have had together.

I also have five children!  Each one is a joy in different ways.  They keep me young and happy and I have the privilege of homeschooling them all.  Well, almost all.  My oldest graduates in a 2010 (after this spring, it is up to the college to do my job).  When did SHE grow up?!  Life seems to be speeding by when I look at my kids....but everything I see in them is a delight.

I am pretty outgoing (okay....that is an understatement) and so many people think they know me well.  I love to laugh and talk, and laugh, and talk....did I mention I like to talk and laugh??  However, not a lot of people do know me.  In fact, some of the people who know me best live far from me!  Of those who are around me on a regular basis, only a few know the real me!  But that's okay....there is some comfort in being an International Woman of Mystery!  You don't always get what you think you see when you meet me....

Here are some random insights into me.....

I have a Dave Barry or Erma Bombeck inside me, desperately trying to escape through my blog posts!
I have an irrational fear of Roundabouts.
I think one of the biggest answers to prayer in my life would be if God gave me redheaded grandchildren!
I like EVERYBODY.
I exaggerate sometimes.
I think I take really good funny pictures of myself...which is good, because the serious ones are awful!
I think FDR was our worst president.
I love, love, love to read.
I love, love, love to read to my kids even more!

And this one isn't so random...

The most important thing you can know about me is that my life changed when I was a young adult and accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.  I have never been the same.  And I mean that in a good way.  He has given me life eternal and blessed grace while I am here on this earth.  The most astounding thing to me in all the world is that while I was still a sinner, Jesus died for me.  If you don't know Jesus, and you want to know about him....let me know....it is always a pleasure to introduce my best friend around!

God's Blessings,
Jill
